» Millet Porridge

* 1 Tablespoon millet flakes
* 150ml (5fl oz) breastmilk or filtered water
* 1 ice cube of fruit puree (optional)

In a saucepan mix the millet with the bm/water and bring to the boil. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until it thickens (more water or bm may be required if it gets too thick)

Once ready you can add a cube of fruit puree or a mashed banana etc

Tip - Adding a cube of frozen puree cools the porridge quickly as it melts.

If doing Baby Led Weaning, making porridge really thick so it sticks to the spoon/hands; means it is not only nutrient dense but a lot easier for them to eat.
